Juno Beach Fishing Report 10-26-2011

The tide was up this morningĀ  swell was a 1-2 feet nice rip for the Snook wind was out of the North. As the Sun was coming up the Osprey’s started to feed schools of Mullet and Pilchards were running from North to South the fishing looked like it was going to be pretty good but nothing really going on and ton’s of weed’s I found using the Bucktail jig helped keep out of the weed patches it was thick today! Ended up catching one Bluefish. I think the fish are transitioning to feeding on smaller baits. A silver spoon 1/2-1 1/2 OZ seems to be working well with others.

Weeds do have their advantages I have found these lures in the past 2 weeks…

Conditions: N wind cranking pretty good, surf was 1-2 with a 3ft shore break incoming tide

Lures: Yozuri live bait minnow jig 1oz, buck tail jig black and white 1/2 OZ

Action: Cast every which direction I can think of to get a bite its slow!
